Gracias a su naturaleza \u00abinvisible\u00bb o transparente, las c\u00e9lulas solares pueden integrarse en ventanas, veh\u00edculos, pantallas de tel\u00e9fonos m\u00f3viles y otros productos cotidianos. <span> <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/eurekalert.org\/pub_releases\/2020-11\/inu-sc110220.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">las c\u00e9lulas solares pueden integrarse<\/a><span> <\/span>en ventanas, veh\u00edculos, pantallas de tel\u00e9fonos m\u00f3viles y otros productos cotidianos.<\/p>\n<p>El profesor Joondong Kim y sus colegas de la Universidad Nacional de Incheon (Corea del Sur) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0378775320311691?via%3Dihub\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">publicaron <\/a>sus hallazgos en la revista <em>Journal of Power Sources <\/em>en enero de 2021. El equipo destac\u00f3 que el TiO<sub>2<\/sub> es un semiconductor ideal en las c\u00e9lulas solares, ya que absorbe la luz ultravioleta invisible al tiempo que deja pasar la luz visible. Adem\u00e1s, tambi\u00e9n es respetuoso con el medio ambiente, lo que facilita su uso.  <\/p>\n<p>El estudio podr\u00eda suponer una ola de innovaci\u00f3n en el \u00e1mbito de las c\u00e9lulas fotovoltaicas (PVC). Los paneles solares actuales tienden a ser opacos, lo que significa que se ven limitados a estar alineados en tejados y en huertas solares remotas. Estas limitaciones motivaron al profesor Joondong Kim y sus colegas a buscar nuevos materiales. Sus resultados fueron <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurekalert.org\/pub_releases\/2021-01\/inu-otr010521.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">alentadores<\/a>: con una eficiencia de conversi\u00f3n de energ\u00eda del 2,1%, el rendimiento de la c\u00e9lula era bastante satisfactorio, dado que s\u00f3lo se dirige a una peque\u00f1a parte del espectro luminoso. La c\u00e9lula tambi\u00e9n era muy sensible y funcionaba en condiciones de poca luz. Adem\u00e1s, m\u00e1s del 57% de la luz visible se transmit\u00eda a trav\u00e9s de las capas de la c\u00e9lula, lo que le confer\u00eda su aspecto transparente.     <\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores tambi\u00e9n consiguieron demostrar c\u00f3mo las c\u00e9lulas solares pod\u00edan alimentar un peque\u00f1o motor.
