En effet, il a un impact significatif sur le climat et une empreinte environnementale importante:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>L\u2019environnement b\u00e2ti repr\u00e9sente environ 50 % de toutes les mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res extraites de la terre.<\/li>\n<li>Le secteur de la construction est responsable de plus de 35 % de la production totale de d\u00e9chets de l\u2019UE.<\/li>\n<li>Les b\u00e2timents sont les plus gros consommateurs d\u2019\u00e9nergie en Europe, repr\u00e9sentant 40 % de la consommation d\u2019\u00e9nergie et 36 % des \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre (GES) de l\u2019UE.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dans le cadre du Pacte vert pour l\u2019Europe, l\u2019UE vise \u00e0 r\u00e9duire l\u2019empreinte environnementale et climatique de son capital immobilier, faisant du d\u00e9veloppement durable un pilier cl\u00e9 du secteur de la construction. La strat\u00e9gie de l\u2019UE pour un environnement durable construit et l\u2019initiative Renovation Wave de l\u2019UE comprendront une s\u00e9rie de mesures pour atteindre cette ambition. Celles-ci peuvent inclure:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de la durabilit\u00e9 et de l\u2019adaptabilit\u00e9 des actifs construits conform\u00e9ment aux principes de l\u2019\u00e9conomie circulaire pour la conception de b\u00e2timents;<\/li>\n<li>Aborder la question de la performance des produits de construction en mati\u00e8re de d\u00e9veloppement durable;<\/li>\n<li>l\u2019optimisation de la r\u00e9novation des b\u00e2timents, notamment en encourageant les investissements et le financement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>L\u2019am\u00e9lioration de la performance environnementale du capital immobilier de l\u2019UE est \u00e9galement une partie importante de la reprise \u00e9conomique de l\u2019UE suite \u00e0 la Covid-19. Dans les rev\u00eatements comme les peintures ext\u00e9rieures, il am\u00e9liore la durabilit\u00e9 des produits de construction gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la chaleur, \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re et aux intemp\u00e9ries. Cela signifie qu\u2019il peut y avoir moins besoin de remplacer les mat\u00e9riaux de construction ou r\u00e9nover les b\u00e2timents. Le pigment de TiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0dans les plastiques contribue \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger et \u00e0 prolonger la dur\u00e9e de vie des produits plastiques, ce qui contribue \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les d\u00e9chets plastiques.<\/p>\n<p>Le TiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0est utilis\u00e9 dans les produits de construction dans certains des monuments\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdma.info\/fr\/applications-du-dioxyde-de-titane\/forme-et-esthetisme-pour-une-architecture-dun-blanc-eclatant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">architecturaux les plus remarquables au monde pour les prot\u00e9ger des \u00e9l\u00e9ments<\/a>. Du fait qu\u2019il diffuse si bien la lumi\u00e8re, le pigment de TiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0est un opacifiant in\u00e9gal\u00e9. Il fournit une puissance de couverture exceptionnelle et est donc un\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdma.info\/fr\/applications-du-dioxyde-de-titane\/le-dioxyde-de-titane-un-ingredient-essentiel-des-peintures\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ingr\u00e9dient essentiel dans les peintures<\/a>. L\u2019opacifiant alternatif le plus proche est environ 35\u00a0% moins efficace. Le TiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0peut donner\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdma.info\/fr\/applications-du-dioxyde-de-titane\/le-choix-du-blanc-en-decoration-interieure-un-intemporel-de-lhistoire-du-design\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">des finitions blanches brillantes et durables, aussi bien pour l\u2019int\u00e9rieur que pour l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Sans le TiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0de nombreuses couches de peinture suppl\u00e9mentaires seraient n\u00e9cessaires pour obtenir la m\u00eame couverture.<\/p>\n<p>Depuis 2010, la TDMA a recueilli des informations de bout en bout sur l\u2019empreinte environnementale et carbone du TiO<sub>2<\/sub>.\u00a0Ces\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eplca.jrc.ec.europa.eu\/index.html#menu1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">donn\u00e9es sur le cycle de vie<\/a>\u00a0ont permis de d\u00e9montrer que l\u2019empreinte environnementale totale de la peinture blanche diminue \u00e0 mesure que la teneur en TiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0augmente. Les peintures \u00e0 haute teneur en TiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0sont nettement plus durables que celles \u00e0 faible teneur en TiO<sub>2<\/sub>. Les b\u00e2timents peints avec des peintures durables ont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement besoin d\u2019\u00eatre repeints moins souvent. Le TiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0joue un r\u00f4le en l\u2019occurrence.<\/p>\n<p>Les pigments de TiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0poss\u00e8dent la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 de refl\u00e9ter la chaleur g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e par les rayons infrarouges du soleil. Les pigments de TiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0utilis\u00e9s dans la peinture appliqu\u00e9e sur les surfaces ext\u00e9rieures des b\u00e2timents peuvent aider \u00e0 r\u00e9duire l\u2019accumulation de chaleur. Les \u00abtoits frais\u00bb, ceux peints avec des rev\u00eatements blancs ou de couleur claire contenant des pigments de TiO<sub>2<\/sub>, peuvent r\u00e9duire consid\u00e9rablement l\u2019accumulation de chaleur dans les b\u00e2timents. Cela aide \u00e0 r\u00e9duire l\u2019\u00e9nergie qui serait autrement consomm\u00e9e par les dispositifs de refroidissement comme la climatisation, ce qui permet de r\u00e9aliser des \u00e9conomies d\u2019\u00e9nergie.<\/p>\n<p>Un autre avantage du TiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0est qu\u2019il peut aider \u00e0 lutter contre l\u2019\u00abeffet d\u2019\u00eelot thermique urbain\u00bb, qui est un probl\u00e8me croissant dans de nombreuses villes \u00e0 travers le monde. L\u2019absorption de la chaleur par le b\u00e9ton et les mat\u00e9riaux de construction signifie que les temp\u00e9ratures peuvent \u00eatre consid\u00e9rablement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es dans les villes que dans un environnement rural. Peindre les surfaces avec de la peinture blanche contenant du TiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0est un moyen efficace de r\u00e9duire cet effet, aidant \u00e0 rendre la vie urbaine dans les climats chauds plus supportable.<\/p>\n<p>Dans un b\u00e2timent, le TiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0peut aider \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des espaces int\u00e9rieurs lumineux.
