Cette opinion fait suite \u00e0 un consensus scientifique croissant sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du TiO<sub>2<\/sub> publi\u00e9 par le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdma.info\/fr\/news\/le-japon-reconfirme-la-securite-du-dioxyde-du-titane-en-tant-quadditif-alimentaire\/\">minist\u00e8re japonais de la Sant\u00e9, du Travail et du Bien-\u00eatre (MHLW)<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdma.info\/news\/new-japanese-study-reinforces-the-safety-of-titanium-dioxide\/\">l\u2019Institut national des sciences de la sant\u00e9 (NIHS) du Japon, <\/a>ainsi que par la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdma.info\/news\/us-fda-confirms-the-safety-of-titanium-dioxide-as-a-food-additive\/\">Food and Drug Administration (FDA) des \u00c9tats-Unis <\/a>au d\u00e9but de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2023.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/health-canada\/services\/food-nutrition\/reports-publications\/titanium-dioxide-food-additive-science-report.html\">Sant\u00e9 Canada<\/a>, le d\u00e9partement national de politique sanitaire du gouvernement canadien, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foodstandards.gov.au\/consumer\/foodtech\/Review-of-titanium-dioxide-as-a-food-additive#:~:text=In%20Australia%20and%20New%20Zealand,from%20its%20use%20in%20food.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">l\u2019Autorit\u00e9 australienne de r\u00e9glementation des produits alimentaires et de sant\u00e9 (FSANZ)<\/a>, et <a href=\"https:\/\/cot.food.gov.uk\/sites\/default\/files\/2022-01\/TiO2%20COT%20Interim%20position%20paper.pdf\">l\u2019Agence des normes alimentaires du Royaume-Uni (FSA)<\/a> ont \u00e9galement confirm\u00e9 que le TiO<sub>2<\/sub> est s\u00fbr pour les consommateurs en tant qu\u2019additif alimentaire.<\/p>\n<p>La r\u00e9affirmation de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l\u2019E171 dans les aliments par les autorit\u00e9s principales intervient apr\u00e8s les pr\u00e9occupations soulev\u00e9es par l\u2019Autorit\u00e9 europ\u00e9enne de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des aliments (EFSA) de l\u2019UE en 2021. L\u2019EFSA a examin\u00e9 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l\u2019E171 en <a href=\"http:\/\/www.efsa.europa.eu\/en\/efsajournal\/pub\/4545\">2016<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.efsa.europa.eu\/en\/efsajournal\/pub\/5366\">2018<\/a>, et <a href=\"https:\/\/www.efsa.europa.eu\/en\/efsajournal\/pub\/5714\">2019<\/a>. Dans tous les cas, l\u2019EFSA a confirm\u00e9 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l\u2019E171.<\/p>\n<p>Le dernier avis de l\u2019EFSA sur l\u2019E171, publi\u00e9 en mai 2021, ne trouve pas de preuves concluantes montrant des effets nocifs de la consommation d\u2019E171. Pourtant, l\u2019EFSA a conclu qu\u2019elle ne consid\u00e8re plus l\u2019E171 comme s\u00fbr en tant qu\u2019additif alimentaire en raison des inqui\u00e9tudes concernant la g\u00e9notoxicit\u00e9 qui ne pouvaient pas \u00eatre \u00e9cart\u00e9es. L\u2019EFSA est parvenue \u00e0 sa conclusion sur la base de mat\u00e9riaux d\u2019essai qui ne sont pas repr\u00e9sentatifs du E171, ni pertinents pour l\u2019\u00e9valuation du E171 lorsqu\u2019il est utilis\u00e9 comme additif alimentaire. <\/p>\n<p>Les m\u00e9thodes d\u2019exposition orale sur lesquelles s\u2019appuie l\u2019EFSA et les \u00e9tudes utilis\u00e9es pour parvenir \u00e0 ses conclusions ne repr\u00e9sentent pas des conditions d\u2019utilisation r\u00e9alistes ou potentielles et ne refl\u00e8tent pas l\u2019exposition humaine \u00e0 l\u2019additif alimentaire en question.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019examen exhaustif <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/health-canada\/services\/food-nutrition\/reports-publications\/titanium-dioxide-food-additive-science-report.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">de l\u2019\u00e9tat des connaissances scientifiques <\/a>r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Sant\u00e9 Canada tient compte de toutes les donn\u00e9es scientifiques disponibles sur le dioxyde de titane en tant qu\u2019additif alimentaire et des nouvelles donn\u00e9es produites apr\u00e8s l\u2019avis de l\u2019EFSA. La d\u00e9cision, qui est entr\u00e9e en vigueur le 7 f\u00e9vrier 2022, est bas\u00e9e sur l\u2019avis de l\u2019EFSA selon lequel le E171 ne peut plus \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme s\u00fbr. <\/p>\n<p>Le r\u00e8glement indique clairement qu\u2019aucun probl\u00e8me sanitaire imm\u00e9diat n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9. Cela souligne que la d\u00e9cision n\u2019est pas fond\u00e9e sur des risques identifi\u00e9s pour la sant\u00e9 humaine li\u00e9s au E171. <\/p>\n<p>La loi pr\u00e9voit une p\u00e9riode de transition de six mois \u00e0 compter de son entr\u00e9e en vigueur. Cela signifie que jusqu\u2019au 7 ao\u00fbt 2022, les produits alimentaires contenant du E171 pouvaient \u00eatre mis sur le march\u00e9 de l\u2019UE et commercialis\u00e9s jusqu\u2019\u00e0 leur date limite de consommation. <\/p>\n<p>Les produits contenant du E171 mis sur le march\u00e9 pendant la p\u00e9riode de transition peuvent continuer \u00e0 \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9, car aucun risque imm\u00e9diat pour la sant\u00e9 n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][difl_divider separetor_type=\u00a0\u00bbno\u00a0\u00bb divider_line_color=\u00a0\u00bb#000000&Prime; divider_line_width=\u00a0\u00bb1px\u00a0\u00bb _builder_version=\u00a0\u00bb4.27.4&Prime; _module_preset=\u00a0\u00bbdefault\u00a0\u00bb global_colors_info=\u00a0\u00bb{}\u00a0\u00bb locked=\u00a0\u00bboff\u00a0\u00bb][\/difl_divider][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u00a0\u00bb4.27.4&Prime; _module_preset=\u00a0\u00bbdefault\u00a0\u00bb header_3_font=\u00a0\u00bbNoto Sans|600|||||||\u00a0\u00bb global_colors_info=\u00a0\u00bb{}\u00a0\u00bb]<\/p>\n<h3>Que fait la TDMA pour rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 cette situation?<\/h3>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u00a0\u00bb4.27.4&Prime; _module_preset=\u00a0\u00bbdefault\u00a0\u00bb global_colors_info=\u00a0\u00bb{}\u00a0\u00bb]<\/p>\n<p>La TDMA continue de soutenir la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du E171 dans toutes les applications pr\u00e9vues et n\u2019est pas d\u2019accord avec la d\u00e9cision de retirer l\u2019approbation du E171 dans l\u2019UE.<\/p>\n<p>Compte tenu des \u00e9valuations de Sant\u00e9 Canada et de la conclusion de la FSA britannique selon laquelle le E171 est sans danger pour la consommation humaine, La TDMA demande \u00e0 la Commission europ\u00e9enne de proc\u00e9der \u00e0 un r\u00e9examen critique de l\u2019avis 2021 de l\u2019EFSA sur l\u2019innocuit\u00e9 du E171. Les conclusions de Sant\u00e9 Canada. FSANZ et de la FSA britannique devraient \u00e9galement \u00eatre prises en compte dans toute \u00e9valuation par l\u2019UE de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du TiO<sub>2<\/sub> dans les applications pharmaceutiques, cosm\u00e9tiques et les jouets.<\/p>\n<p>La TDMA tient compte de l\u2019avis de l\u2019EFSA en actualisant son programme scientifique afin de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer davantage de donn\u00e9es pour confirmer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du E171 et pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la nouvelle approche de l\u2019EFSA en mati\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9valuation des risques pour les additifs alimentaires.<\/p>\n<p>La TDMA continuera \u00e0 s\u2019engager avec toutes les parties prenantes concern\u00e9es pour s\u2019assurer que les examens actuels et futurs de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du
