Het wordt gevormd in het chlorideproces dat wordt gebruikt\u00a0om titaniumdioxide\u00a0(TiO<sub>2<\/sub>).<\/p>\n<p>Met de juiste procedures kan TiCl<sub>4<\/sub> veilig worden gehanteerd in het productieproces en het wordt niet gebruikt in consumententoepassingen<\/p>\n<p>TiCl<sub>4<\/sub> is een belangrijk onderdeel van de productie van TiO<sub>2<\/sub> en het wordt gebruikt om het metaal titanium te produceren.
