About the TDMA
The Titanium Dioxide Manufacturers Association (TDMA) represents the major producers of titanium dioxide (TiO2) and has been their voice in Europe since 1974.
The products and applications developed by our members are at the heart of this incredible innovation. The role of the TDMA is to support our members by promoting and defending the merits of TiO2 in all suitable applications. We provide comprehensive, authoritative and trusted information about the safety and use of TiO2 .

The TDMA is a sector group of Cefic (the European Chemical Industry Council), which represents 29 000 chemical companies across Europe. We are a non-profit organisation and have no commercial role. For all commercial enquiries, please contact our members directly.

Our mission
We are proud of our industry’s track record of using TiO2 safely for 100 years.
As the voice of our industry, we want to ensure that the relevant regulatory frameworks and policies concerning TiO2 – as well as the public discussions about its safety and efficacy – are guided only by robust science.

A relentless focus on the science of the safety of TiO2 including a robust proactive science programme commissioning new studies to the latest guidelines and scientific techniques at leading universities and research organisations.
Putting the safety of workers in the TiO2 industry at the heart of what we do with long-term studies on the exposure of workers to TiO2 including producing guidance on best practices for safe use.
Being ready to answer questions from authorities and users about the safety and efficacy of TiO2
